Lola's litter of German Shorthaired puppies arrived on the 21st June. She had 6 bitches and 3 dogs, all are thriving and gaining weight steadily. This is her first litter, which promises to be very exciting, combining top German bloodlines from Lola, and top English lines from the sire of the litter, our own Show Champion Isara Kurzhaar Innkeeper at Katelands ShCM, who has already sired top-winning pups in the show ring and as working gundogs. I will be posting regular pictures of the litter and updates, on Lola's home page. If you would like to contact me for a chat regarding this litter then feel free to do so, all contact numbers are at the bottom of this page.
New pictures added 14th July, they had their 1st solid meal which they devoured, follwed by a run around the kitchen!
Taken 7th July aged 16 days old, lots of new photo's added on Lola's page.
Crufts Judge 2010, 'Eileen Gates' weimaraner judge and breeder. This is her critique of Mina. Post Graduate Bitch, entries 18. What a super class. 1st Adams' Katelands Christmas Spirit, stood out for her beautiful colour of true silver/grey, everything in moderation from her beautiful head, correct ear length, elegant clean neck, well placed shoulders, straight front, level topline, well off for bone, flowed around the ring at one with her handler, excellent tail carriage, Bright future I am sure.
Susan and Lindsay Adams would like to welcome you to the home of KATELANDS GUNDOGS, a small family-run kennel near to Kingsbury, in the heart of the Midlands.
We specialise in German Shorthaired Pointers and Weimaraners, and have also owned German Wirehaired Pointers over the years. Lindsay has also competed very successfully in the working trial arena with his German Shepherd Dog's, reaching the final of the Intercounties Service Dog Trials 2008 and winner of the Regional Trials 2003.
We have a dual interest with our dogs, in that not only do we enjoy showing them, we also train them to compete in Gundog working events as well.
Our first aim is to produce sound, healthy stock, with excellent conformation and temperaments. We are proud that we have bred dogs who as well as being excellent pets and loyal companions, have also excelled in the field and demonstrate their true working ability.
Many of our puppies, either owned by ourselves or others, or sired by our stud dogs, have had very successful careers in the show ring and working environments, winning many Challenge Certificates, Reserve Challenge Certificates, and first places at both Championship and Open Shows, and winning Gundog Working Tests, being placed at Field Trials, and graded at Pointing Tests.
We occasionally have puppies for sale to approved homes. We do not breed very often, but when we do we are committed to giving our puppies the best start in life. They are only available to people who fully understand the needs of these challenging dogs. All our dogs are carefully screened for any health problems before being bred from or used at stud. They are all hip-scored and hold current clear eye certificates. We are members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeders Scheme, please click on the logo to find out more about this scheme. Please click on the links to more information regarding our dogs details, pedigree's, progeny and pictures. I am on the judges 'B' list breed specialist for the Weimaraner Club of Great Britain, the Weimaraner Association, N.E.W.S. the Weimaraner Club of Scotland, and also on the 'B' list breed specialist German Wirehaired Pointer and 'C' list GSP clubs. I judge all HPR breeds. I adhere to the above Clubs in relation to their codes of ethics in relation to breeding, and the new Kennel Club Code of Ethics. Show Champion Isara Kurzhaar Innkeeper at Katelands Sh.Cm is available at stud to approved bitches. We will always advertise litters on our website that have been sired by Jack, and we are always available to discuss these litters.
I am always available for help and advice in relation to our dogs.
