Alice has a fantastic personality. She has excellent conformation, correct bite, good ear length, coat colour and bone, which one would expect in a dog from the Sireva Kennel.
 
Alice has a beautiful nature and is a much loved family member. Only shown now on rare
occassions due to my committments with my other dogs, she spends her time being a great
mother to her own offspring, and a surrogate one to any young dog who comes to join us.
Not at all gunshy, she will retrieve game to hand,
but she does have a fondness for rabbits in particular, again presented unmarked.
A keen swimmer, she will enter water from all types of banks, and will swim even in the coldest of temperatures. Very responsive to the whistle.
In the house she is very laid back, and has a fantastic internal alarm clock, I know exactly when it is
7am and 5pm, in other words feeding time.

 She has a great working background behind her, both her parents are shot over
regularly, and her mother, Sireva Steph Cook is the first weimaraner to be awarded
the  Gundog Working Certificate. Her Grandmother, Ch Sireva Valderamma is a full Champion,
achieved by obtaining her Show Gundog Working Certificate as well as being a show champion. Used regularly as a picking up dog, she has a good nose and is a determined worker.
 
All of Alice's parents have been hip-scored, with excellent results.

I am pleased to announce that Alice has given birth to 4 bitches and 4 dogs. All are healthy, strong puppies who are thriving.
All were examined by my vet on the 9th Dec, and had their dew-claws removed.
 
The stud dog I have chosen is the grandson of Sireva Twister, the dog I used on her previous litter, so this litter should be of the same high standard as the previous one.

 I have occassionally been involved helping the breed rescue service over the years and have first hand knowledge of unhealthy dogs and the damage and sorrow they cause, and the up-heaval of re-homing a weimaraner because it was bought on a whim and the amount of care and exercise wasn't taken into consideration.
 
The puppies will be KC registered, dew-claws removed but not docked, wormed 3 times, vet-checked before leaving, reared on a 'top quality diet', reared in the house to ensure they are used to household noises, associated with children, come with 6 weeks free insurance, a full booklet written by myself on how to care for, feed, train, travel with, groom your puppy, food and bedding from mother.
 
We have owned, bred and shown weimaraners since 1991, and if we don't know the answer to a question you may have, we know someone who will.
 
First and foremost I love my dogs dearly and these pups will only go to top class vetted homes.

This is the last and by far the biggest pup to be born. We nicknamed him ASBO as he just pushed the other pups off the teats when he was hungry.

Alice and her puppies from her last litter Dec 2007.

Alice had her 1st litter on the 29th Dec 2007, 3 dogs and 6 bitches, all healthy, heavy, chunky good-sized puppies. I was very nervous when I decided to mate Alice, I love my dogs too dearly just to churn out puppies, and I am firmly against puppy farmers, or even back street breeders whose first object is to make enough money to go on holiday.
 
The stud dog I had chosen, Sireva Twister, or Buzz, was the top weimaraner puppy in 2000 until an injury forced his retirement from the show ring, although he continues to be used as a working gundog. He has produced stunning examples of the breed, Ch Easdale Ridge J.W Sh.CM was Top Weimaraner 2005.
Bred and owned by Gil Simpson, he had an excellent hip-score and temperament. On paper this was a litter that should produce some fantastic puppies.
I had already decided to keep a bitch, and kept Katelands Christmas Spirit, Mina.
 
She has proved to be an exceptional bitch. So far she has won many 1sts at Champ Shows, many group wins at open shows, gained her Junior Warrant at 8 months making her the youngest weimaraner bitch on record to do so, runner up Top Weimaraner Puppy 2008 and Crufts winner 2009.
 
 I am very proud of Alice's litter, and am so glad that the other 8 puppies have gone to such exceptional homes. I did feel slightly sorry for these new owners as I am rather forthright when it comes to vetting prospective homes. It has been wonderful to keep in touch, and to see how these pups have developed. Below are a few pictures of e-mails sent to me of these puppies growing up.
 
Denise Sallow has had a good year with Katelands Christmas Ghost, or Merlin. He qualified for Crufts at his 1st Champ Show by winning puppy dog out of a very large entry. I am very pleased with the way he has come on, he is a pleasure to go over, being a good sized dog within the breed standard, a cracking head, depth of chest, straight front legs, excellent legnth of back to height ratio and a superb colour.
