Promise was bred by the Late Fio Roberts of the Isara Affix, the same breeder who bred Jack.
In fact Promise is Jack's half sister, being by the same mother but a different father, Isara Kurzaar Rackateer.
We had watched Promise from a puppy, my daughter used to sit with her at shows, and I would handle her for Fio.
When Fio passed away in 2009, she had several dogs at home that urgent homes needed to be found for.
So Promise came to live with us. She will never be bred from, although there is nothing preventing us, the timing has just never been right. It took a while for her to settle in, she hadn't much experience of huge fields, water, discipline lol.
She is the most honest dog I think I have ever come across. She loves life, it is as though she wants to make up for lost time, every outing is an adventure. We have to be careful near water, a bit difficult when 650 acres of water park is our neighbour, as once she sees it, in she goes. Getting her out is the hard part!
Retrieving? All day if you are silly enough to stand there and throw the ball for her.
